This chapter describes the baskets and mats excavated at the Naqlun site in the Fayoum Oasis in Egypt. The baskets were made using two-system basketry techniques: sewn plaits, continuous plaiting, and coiling. The mats were woven using two-system techniques: weaving with one strand, weaving with two strands, and twining. This chapter provides photographs of the Naqlun baskets and mats.
