The rediscovery of the Bawit monastery in 1900 have spawned numerous investigations covering diverse fields of research. This chapter presents a “Bawit Bibliography”. The list takes into account articles from 1997 to 2014, and also makes mention of forthcoming publications. It is organized into nine classifications, presented in chronological order: texts; artifacts in museums; topography; twentieth-century excavations; twenty-first-century excavations; monuments; sculpture; painting; objects. When a book or article deals with other subjects, only the pages mentioning Bawit are given. It is known that only a small percentage of the vast archaeological site of Bawit has been examined.
